I had a lovely day at Elsecar Heritage Centre yesterday. It was really busy and everyone I spoke to was lovely; had some great chats with other stallholders about their work too
One stallholder was a run by a group of people who work for The Monkey Bay Fund; they run a Nursery and feeding station in Monkey Bay, Malawi. I bought a sock Monkey Pirate from them which I was very excited about! Have a look at their website for more details: www.monkeybayfund.com
My highlights of the day were definitely my Nannan buying an ‘Ignition’ Tote bag to keep her knitting in (that bag features a Rabbit singing R Kellys Ignition to another Rabbit on it) and my Beaus Grandma buying a Tote bag that has a Humpback Whale on it singing ‘Baby got (hump)back’ by Sir Mixalot.
I’m pleased with how my stall looked, i’ve definitely got better at that since my first fair a couple of years ago! I didn’t take any Jewellery with me which is a first as I want to concentrate on more Illustration work in the future (including homewares because I love doing those)
Most items, including prints which I don’t usually sell online, will be up in my Etsy shop in the next few days
